PBS’ long-term relationship with Portland Public Schools provided an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge green building project known as the da Vinci Arts Middle School High Performance Music Classroom. Designed to achieve LEED platinum, the building incorporates a number of design strategies aimed at significantly reducing energy consumption. When completed, it is expected to be the first school building in the United States to achieve LEED Platinum.
PBS is providing a number of different services for the project including geotechnical consulting, air infiltration testing through our Industrial Health group and project management by Tom Archer.
The project has received local and national attention, being featured in articles from the New York Times and Portland Monthly.
