PBS provided geotechnical engineering services for the design and construction of a soil nail wall to support widening of the Waud Bluff Trail in Portland, an area subject to unstable slopes. Our geotechnical engineers developed plans and specifications for construction of a new wall to support the existing, steep slope. Shotcrete and gunnite were installed and “sculpted” to provide a natural appearing surface texture. PBS provided observation and monitoring services during construction to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations.
