Grand Central

Location: Washington

The Grand Central development project included the redevelopment of about a 16-acre industrial site. Final layout included nine buildings, with a 6,500-sq. ft. restaurant, five retail buildings ranging from 3,300 to 11,250-sq. ft. in size, and a 138,729-sq. ft. Fred Meyer retail building.

Civil engineering services provided by HDJ (now a division of PBS) included grading design, utility layout, stormwater conveyance and treatment using pervious concrete and proprietary detention units, design of frontage improvements to Grand Boulevard and Columbia House Boulevard, and full-width street improvements to 1st Street. HDJ also provided signing and striping design for all three public roads.
