Landscape Architecture

PBS offers a full-scale planning department with a history of preparing high-quality land use applications and exercising a thorough understanding of city, county and state regulations, standards and design processes.

Our responsibility is to meet and exceed the goals of our clients. Strong communication skills are a signature of our planners and allow us to engage client, consultants, the public, and an array of municipalities in our design process. They are practiced at managing projects from the feasibility/design stage through final approval.PBS houses landscape architects specializing in a wide range of land development projects and led by a senior landscape architect who is licensed in both Washington and Oregon.

Areas of expertise include planting design, automatic irrigation system design, hardscape/courtyard/streetscape design, urban design, photo simulations, site plan submittals, construction drawings and specifications for both private land development and public works projects.

Types of projects include commercial developments, industrial sites, roadway right-of-ways, medians, roundabouts, parks and recreation, subdivisions and multi-family residential. In addition to meeting municipal code requirements, PBS’ landscape designs creatively improve aesthetics and bring added value to clients and their customers.

The design goals of the Landscape Architecture Department include:
– Humankind: Designs that meet the needs of people in outdoor spaces.
– Nature: Designs that respect nature and work in harmony with the environment.
– Art: Creative hardscape and softscape designs.
